Funeral services for Susan M. Dryden, 68, will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating the service will be Buster Page.

Susan was born on October 26, 1956, to James Colbert and Ethel Page Colbert in Spring Hill, Louisiana, and passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Susan lived a life dedicated to spreading joy and creating meaningful memories. Her passion for brightening up other’s days was evident in her thoughtful gestures, whether it was preparing delicious meals or sending heartfelt cards through the mail. Susan found great joy in organizing special celebrations for her loved ones, be it birthdays or anniversaries. Her nurturing nature extended not only to people but also to her beloved fur babies; while Duncan has passed away, Mallory continues to be a source of comfort and companionship.

Susan's proudest accomplishments include her lasting marriage of 31 years to her loving husband, Ernie Michael Dryden, and her deep love for her family. She showered those around her with love and care, always putting their needs above her own. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, James Colbert and Ethel Page Colbert. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Michael Dryden; sister, Allison Carr and husband, Don; stepdaughter, Milisia Dryden, and husband, David Stevens; stepson, Kevin Dryden and wife, Adonya; grandchildren, Jewelia McCasland, I’lisia McCasland, Josephine Stevens, Khristopher Dryden, and Killian Dryden; nephews, Reid Hudgens and wife, Barbara, Carly, and Carter Hudgens, Ryan Hudgens and wife, Mayra, Allison and Jose Hudgens and Ron Juzeler and wife, Jordan Tyler.

Honoring Susan as pallbearers will be Reid Hudgens, Ryan Hudgens, Ron Juzeler, Don Carr, and John MacDonald.
