Susan Tatum

Susan Pepmiller Tatum has moved to her new heavenly home where she will enjoy her cancer-free eternal life with family and friends. Susan was born August 2, 1956 in Mansfield, Louisana and died at her Grapevine lake-front home on September 20, 2016. Susan was preceded in death by her father K. D. Pepmiller, mother-in-law Wanda Tatum, grandparents, and many other family and friends. Left to cherish Susan are her husband of 42 years Sam Tatum, son Matt Tatum, daughter Tabitha Richardson (Cobie, husband), grandchildren Nicholas Tatum, Camerohn Sepulvado, Colbie Lynn and Callie Sue Richardson. "Dynamite comes in small packages" is a statement that describes our Susan. Yes, she was small in stature, but dynamite in her EVERYDAY life, her accomplishments, and her effect on all those around!! Susan's accomplishments and successes were numerous in both her personal and professional life. In her personal life, Susan was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter (daughter-in-law), sister (sister-in-law), and friend. Susan always showed and had unconditional love for her family and friends. Susan loved to get together with her family and friends for fun, food, and lots of laughs. Susan also enjoyed spending "special" times with Sam fishing in the lake and playing rounds of golf. These times were fun, but Susan was always quick to point out when she caught the most fish, the biggest fish, and when she played a better round of golf. Always competitive and always making life fun!! Susan's professional life and love was working with the public. Susan loved people and always strived to help anyone and everyone. In 1975, Susan began working with Dr. Donald Taylor at the hospital in Converse and continued working with him when he moved his office to Mansfield. Susan worked with Dr. Taylor and Dr. Dillard in their Mansfield office until 1984. Susan decided she wanted to enjoy time at home with her family and decided to open an in-home gift shop "Happiness is Homemade". Susan was so creative and enjoyed designing and building crafts to show and sell from her home. In 1988, Susan expanded this small business when she earned her florist license and opened Kreations Unlimited Floral and Gift Shop in Zwolle. Susan spent many tireless hours creating and delivering beautiful floral arrangements for all occasions and events. In 2006, Susan earned her real estate agent's license and along with her florist shop, she also work in real estate for the next 2 years. After 20 years in the floral business, Susan decided to change professions and began her full-time career in real estate. Susan pursued and achieved success in becoming a real estate broker and opened her own company, Tatum Realty in Mansfield, Louisiana. Susan enjoyed her years in her real estate profession and was awarded "Small Business Entrepreneur Award". She loved meeting with clients, listing their homes to sell, and she especially loved showing/finding homes for clients wanting to purchase a home. Susan ALWAYS put her clients and their needs first. As a real estate broker and business owner, Susan also gave several local real estate agents a "home" where they could list and sell homes along with her. Susan was not just the broker in this business --- she was a FRIEND!!!! Susan lived and loved life each and every day to the fullest.
