Susie Spigener

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of Susie Irene Fuller Spigener, 95, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Grawood Baptist Church in Keithville, LA. Interment will follow at Old Athens Cemetery in Athens, LA. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at Grawood. Mrs. Spigener was born March 10, 1920 in Simsboro, LA and passed away August 5, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Joseph B. Spigener, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Larry Creech; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Irma Fuller, James "Red" and Dorothy Fuller, J.D. and Margie Fuller; two sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law. She is survived by her son, Barry Spigener and wife, Sheryln, of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren and their spouses, Grant and Jana Spigener of Arlington, TX, Tal and Tiffany Creech of Natchitoches, LA, Jamie and David Woodward of Fairbanks, AK, Lane and April Creech of Ball, LA; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law; dear friend and caregiver, Dot (Dorothy) Simmons; a large extended family and many friends. The family suggests memorial donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Spigener to Grawood Baptist Church; 5841 Colquitt Rd., Keithville, LA 71047; or Gideons International.
