Suzanne Harris Zavecz

Suzanne Harris Zavecz, 73, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024. She was born February 6, 1951, in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of the late John B. Harris, Jr. and Jeanne M. Harris.

Suzanne retired from LSU Health Sciences Center, where she was a microbiologist for many years. She loved music and wildlife, and spending time outside gardening. Her selfless love and support will be deeply missed.

She will be loved and remembered by her husband, James Zavecz and daughter, Rachel Zavecz; sister, Lisa Coleman; and two nieces, Kate Coleman and Erin Coleman. She was predeceased by her brother, John B. Harris, III.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans, 929 Jordan St., in Shreveport, led by Monsignor Earl Provenza. The burial will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
