Syble Dubois Lawson, 93, was born September 21, 1928 and entered into eternal rest on July 18, 2021 after a long, hard-fought battle with dementia and heart disease.
Syble worked as the receptionist at KSLA Television for twelve years and retired to relocate to Florida in 1969 and married William "Bill" Lawson in 1970. They lived in Florida until 1999 when they returned to Shreveport to be near her family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Stella Bullock Williamson; her father, Felix Dubois; her husband, William "Bill" Lawson; and her beloved grandsons, Jeff Miller and Scott Frenzel. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Dana Bowden Harvey; her son, John R. Bowden and wife, Brenda; stepchildren, Michael Lawson and wife, Michelle, Chris Lawson, Lorin Deutschman and husband, David, and Alea Frenzel; granddaughters, Michele Pate, Cristina Lawson Logan, and Nicola Morgan and husband, Jon; grandsons, Adam Bowden, Shane Bowden and wife, Karen, John Martin and Christopher Lawson Logan; great-grandchildren, Tamara Pate, Alysha Pate, Lauren Bowden and Jacob Bowden; and three great-grandchildren, Arya Hindman, Kade Bowden and Brynlee Pate.
She will be greatly missed but there is comfort in the fact that she is now whole again and with family and friends and her Lord.
The family wishes to thank Regional Hospice and all of the staff for the wonderful care they have given her since 2017. They were so caring and loving, and we really appreciate it.
