Sylvia Gene Blanc

Sylvia Gene Blanc, 65, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 6, 2023 after a lengthy illness. A “Celebration of Life Service” will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Andrew Brewster. 

Sylvia was born on June 13, 1957 in Independence, Louisiana to Alexander and Mildred Blanc.

She was a resident of Shreveport and had a very unique personality. She was a sweet, kind person that that would do anything for anybody. She was always happy and danced to the beat of her own drum. She was very passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Shana Cook McInnis, and Alexis Meshell; and grandchildren, David Coan, Ethan Coan, Bailey McInnis, Riley McInnis and Alyssa Meshell.
