Doddridge, AR - Funeral services celebrating the life of Sylvia Henrietta Taylor, age 66 will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Doddridge, AR with Rev, George Goynes, Jr. pastor of the church officiating. Interment will follow in the Good Exchange Cemetery, McLeod, TX. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, January 18th from 6-8 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA.
Mrs. Taylor was born on September 1, 1948 in Vivian, LA to Henry and Mary Cook Swearengin and passed away on January 15, 2015 at the Arkansas Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Texarkana, AR after a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Doddridge, AR for 40 years and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Swearengin and her husband, Troy Taylor. She is survived by her sons, Troy Taylor and wife Michelle of Hallsville, TX, and Jason Taylor and wife, Brandy; daughter, Ashley Taylor; son-in-law, Dakota Moore and daughter, Hailey Taylor all of Doddridge, AR. She is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Wood of Queen City, TX, Sheila Allen and Tina James both of Vivian, LA; brother, Henry Swearengin of Vivian, LA; grandchildren, Dylan Taylor, Jalynn Taylor, Jack Estes Taylor, Clayton Taylor and baby Mason Moore to be born soon.
