HOMER, LA: Graveside services were held for Mrs. Tammy Lynn Colvin Hammons, 47, at Hebron Cemetery in Summerfield, LA, on Friday, September 4, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. with Steve Reeves officiating. The family received friends in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA, on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
Mrs. Hammons was born November 1, 1967, in Homer, LA, to Billy Franklin and Mary Lou Cullins Colvin. She entered into rest on Monday, August 31, 2015, in Homer, LA. Mrs. Hammons worked as a secretary for Fluid Disposal and Peterson Contractor, as well as, was employed by First Guarantee Bank of Haynesville. She loved animals, fishing and riding horses. Mrs. Hammons shared what was on her mind often and let others know where she stood. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Hammons was preceded in death by her grandfather, Delmer Cullins; a step-son, Kyle Hammons; and an aunt, Ann Pittman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Charles Mike Hammons; her mother, Mary Colvin and step-father, Ronnie Roach of Summerfield, LA; grandmother, Maudine Cullins of Summerfield, LA; a son, Dwain Saxon Ware and wife Denise of Magnolia, AR; a step-daughter, Lauren Hammons of Bossier City, LA: a sister, Amie Colvin and Stanley Perryman of Minden, LA; a brother, Billy Hardy Colvin of Lisbon, LA; a niece, Nicki Perryman; two nephews, Stan Perryman and Ryan Colvin; a granddaughter, Kairi Ware; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Buzzy Buckner, Jimmy White, Chad Verdin, Billy Wayne Taylor, Brian Bogle and Harvey Ware.
