Ted C. Jordan

Ted C. Jordan, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother entered heaven’s gates at age 86 on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

He was born at home near Robeline, LA on April 18, 1938, to the late Richard and Maudie Jordan. He lived most of his life in Shreveport, LA working for the city water department over 30 years repairing commercial sized water meters before becoming supervisor of the meter shop until he retired. He was a long-time member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. He moved to Jonesborough, TN in 2019 to be near family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Lily Frances Macheca Jordan; brothers, Clyde Raymond Jordan, Glen Jordan, and Travis Jordan; sisters, Effie Ates, Faye Mitcham, Dollie Stroud, and Melba Cruse; first wife, Maggie Peavy Jordan and infant daughter, Gwendolyn Renea Jordan.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Truelove and husband Ray of Telford, TN, Niki Arrambide and husband Steve of Tomball, TX, and Toni Crawford of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Truelove (Emily), Jacob Truelove (Charlotte), Reagan Dorrough (Stetson), Chase Arrambide, Cade Arrambide, Courtney Crawford, Caitlyn Crawford, and Carlee Crawford; great-grandsons, David Truelove and Weston Dorrough; sister, Bobbie Meshell; brothers, Terry Dale Jordan and Gary (Buddy) Jordan; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to honor the life of our sweet Daddy, Ted Jordan, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. prior to service.
