SHREVEPORT, LA- Teena Reynolds Barks, 50, was called home on Sunday, August 3, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Teena was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Harvey Cecil and Edwina Reynolds on April 30, 1964. While attending Fair Park High School, she went to work for Commercial National Bank until 1997. After leaving CNB she went to work for Willis-Knighton Health Systems until 2011. Teena was an active member and loved her church family at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edwina McGraw Reynolds and granddaughter, Abbigail Leigh-Ann Barks.
She is survived by her father, Harvey Cecil Reynolds, and her sons, Daniel Barks and wife, Rachel; Zachary Moreno; and her daughter Jessica Barks; and her two grandchildren Renee Lunsford and Kayden Barks; brothers, Roger Lane Reynolds and wife, Melissa and Timothy Ray Reynolds and wife, Robbin; sister, Suzette Reynolds Vincent and husband, Glen; numerous nephews and nieces.
Honoring Teena as pallbearers will be Zachary Moreno, Roger Lane Reyonlds Jr., Jacob Vincent, Thomas Clymer, and Glen Vincent.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Reynolds, Paul Vincent and Sean Reynolds.
A celebration of Teena's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive. Officiating will be Rev. Curtis W. Spears. Interment will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Teena's family want to thank the staff of The Guest House and personally thank Zaphnatha Gipson, Lillie Johnson, Rosie Roberson, Shtrel Lowe, Candice Collier, Sh'Rosalyn Smith, Delwunica Samuels, Lisa Rose Burrow, Ashely Cooper and Amanda Wolley you became a part of her family while staying there; and we would also like to thank Willis-Knighton South ICU staff.
