A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service for Terry Lee Malone, 69, will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Rose-Neath. Officiating the service will be Steve Richardson.
Terry was born on July 15, 1955, in Houston, Texas to John Malone and Billie Sue Massey Malone and passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at home in Greenwood, Louisiana.
Terry worked for General Motors from the day the plant opened in 1981 until it closed its doors in 2002. This is where he met great colleagues who turned into friends and some were as close as family.
Dating back to his childhood days, Terry was into sports. He and Mark Moses would “school” many guys on the courts or show off his arm strength on the field as quarterback. He even made sure to teach his daughter how to shoot a free throw and football the correct way.
He also loved beautiful classic cars along with classic music. If you knew Terry, then you knew who Johnny Horton was. And don’t forget the greatest drummer of all time, Keith Moon. We know he knew Jesus, and we are sure he is up in Heaven, educating everyone on “good music” and muscle cars.
Terry was an amazing dad to Terri Jordan and father-in-law to Jeremy Jordan. He was also an amazing grandpa “Pop” to Jeremiah and Josiah Jordan. He loved to show off his fishing skills to the boys.
He never turned down the opportunity to spend time with them, and if he saw something they might enjoy, he’d want them to have it. So, he’d turn to Market Place to find it. He spoiled those boys with anything you can imagine from dirt bikes to drum sets but most of all, love.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, John Malone; mother, Billie Sue Malone; grandma, Effie Massey; and numerous other family members and friends.
The family would like to express special thanks to Jim Arnt for helping and always being such a kind friend.
