Terry "Jimmy" O Greer

Pleasant Hill, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Jimmy Greer, will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield with Chaplain Dana Casey officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill with Reverend Casey Hough officiating. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath in Mansfield on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 12:00 PM until time of service.

Jimmy was born in Shreveport on January 23, 1935 to Orlan Greer and Opal Stockton Greer and passed away in Shreveport on June 8, 2015. Jimmy loved fishing and spending time on the lake. One of the highlights in his life was drilling oil wells.

Preceding Jimmy in death was his mother Opal Victoria Stockton Dowling; father Orlan Buck Greer; children Richard Terry, Rhonda Flo, Melissa Ann; and wife Flo Powell Greer.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son Thomas Clay Greer and wife Staci; daughter Beverly Gaye Stalvey and husband Robert; grandchildren Amanda Smothers, Daniel Smalley, April Smalley, Colby Greer, Blake Greer, Alex Edney, Mason Stalvey; great grandchildren Ethan Grinberg, Elianna Grinberg, Cullen Smothers, Dayton Smalley, Ella Greer Smalley, Baby William House; brothers Paul Greer and Jerry Greer; and sister Bernice Lafitte.

Honoring the life of Jimmy as pallbearers will be Daniel Smalley, Michael Yarbrough, Robert Stalvey, Will House, and Benny Watson.

The family would like to recognize the wonderful ladies who took such excellent care of their father, Vonda Jacobs, Cheryl White, Pat Martinsen and Sheena Williams.
