HOMER, LA: Funeral services will be held for Mr. Terry Lynn Sandlin, age 82, at First Baptist Church in Homer, LA, on Friday, October 30, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Randy Toms and Rev. Brian Thurman, officiating. Interment will follow at McKenzie Cemetery near Homer, LA. The family will receive friends at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m.
Mr. Sandlin was born on July 8, 1938, in Saline, LA, to Albert G. and Claudine Kirkham Sandlin. He entered into rest on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, in Homer, LA.
Mr. Sandlin was preceded in death by his parent; brother, Billy Sandlin; and sister, Glennie Terrell.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Peggy McKenzie Sandlin; son, Clifton G. Sandlin and daughter-in-law Sheri E. Sandlin of Vienna, LA; sister, Sandra Pellham of Richard, TX; two grandchildren, Carlie Sandlin and Andy Sandlin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Boddie, Timmy Sims, Tim Whittington, David Glen Pellham, Phil Brand, Jerry Adkins, Bobby McCullen, John McCarthy, Russel Langley, and Anthony Sandlin.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mr. Sandlin, his family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or First Baptist Church of Homer.
