HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Thelma Kate Brock Faulk, 89, in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Spencer Lovitt officiating. Interment followed in Old Athens Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m.
Mrs. Faulk was born December 25, 1926 in Homer to Ira and Minnie Hallmark Brock. She entered into rest on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in Homer. Mrs. Faulk worked with the Claiborne Parish Health Unit as clerk and other numerous jobs.
Mrs. Faulk was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Melton Emory Faulk, Doyle Flurry and T. F. Greeson; 4 sons, Felix Edward Faulk, Sr., Billy Ray Faulk, Sr., Melton Earl Faulk, Sr., and Thomas Nick Faulk, Sr.; 3 grandsons, Felix Edward Faulk, Jr., Billy Ray Faulk, Jr. and Kennon Joe Faulk.
She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Lola Faulk of Athens and Jan Faulk of Minden; 6 grandchildren, Bryan Faulk of Athens, Earl Faulk, Jr. and friend, Sherry of Leton, Stephen "Grub" Faulk and Kayla of Athens, Clint Faulk and Jamie of Homer, Deanne Knighton and Cody of Homer and Thomas "Clyde" Faulk of Homer; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild, Karson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Buzzy Buckner, Stephen Ray Faulk, Brian Knighton, Dakota Ray Faulk, Marshall Faulk and Logan Faulk.
Special thanks to Dr. Scott Haynes, Dr. Cliff Salmon, Christy Bass and the respiratory therapy department at Claiborne Memorial Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers honoring Mrs. Faulk, her family suggests memorials be to Old Athens Cemetery or a Veteran's fund.
