Thelma Jean Kile-Sullivan, age 81, of Shreveport, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1942 in Darnell, Louisiana to James and Edna Kile.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 11:00 a.m. located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Rev. David Kile, Rev. Rayford Beall, and Rev. Barbara Matthews will officiate. Interment will be held at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. Honoring Thelma as pallbearers will be Thomas Persilver, Aaron Persilver, Brandon Persilver, Sean Persilver, Justin Persilver, and Daniel Allen. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Sullivan, Danny Gutierrez, Pete Sullivan, Andrew Longmire, Shane Longmire, and Dwayne Longmire.
Thelma has always been a faithful member of the church her daddy started in 1965. At church she held many roles including Sunday School Teacher, Song Leader, Secretary, Host of the Fall Party and Director of the Christmas Program for over 45 years. At home she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking, fishing, sewing, and rocking on the porch with her sweetheart while watching the birds and deer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edna Kile; siblings, James "Boots" Kile and wife Anniebell, Rachel Little and husband Newton; Joan Breen and husband Bill, and Billy Kile. Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 67 years, George L. Sullivan; children, Bobby Sullivan and wife Becky, Gary Sullivan and wife Regena, and Pamela Martin and husband Jack; grandchildren, Julie and husband Shane, Susan and husband Danny, Mandi and husband Dwayne, Pete and wife Michelle, Matthew and wife Rachel, Tiffany, Jennifer, Alex and wife Courtney, Briddgett, Thomas and wife Angelle, Aaron, Brandon and wife Ashlie, Sean, Justin, Logan, and Jadyn; along with 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
