Thelma was a resident of Waskom, Texas and worked several different jobs over the years including Harrah\'s Casino, and managed Western Sizzlin and a machine shop. Thelma was a high school graduate, but also graduated from Pat Goins Beauty School and held her beauty license for quite a few years. She was so full of life, always on the go and had a big heart, especially to her grandchildren and her small animals. She loved her little dog, Fiona, that she completely spoiled. She loved her roses and taking care of them, especially her yellow roses which were her favorite. She loved to ride her stationary bike, usually 15 or so miles a day which had her in pretty good shape. She would send text messages telling how far she rode, how many calories she burned, and how long it took. She loved to travel. Thelma had been a lot of places in the United States but Disney World was her favorite. She had been to Germany and the family was planning a big trip next summer. She loved the peace and quiet of living in the woods. She was an awesome cook. She will be remembered by many people for her famous Mac n Cheese. Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Lynn Hammersla.
