SHREVEPORT, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Theresa Adams Bailes, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Johns Berchmans Cathedral, with MSGR Carson LaCaze presiding. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside in Shreveport. A Rosary will follow the visitation.
Theresa was born July 6, 1936 in Shreveport, LA and passed away June 2, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Theresa graduated from St. Vincents Academy. Theresa retired after 30 years in the apartment management business. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to anyone in need. Theresa's faith was very important to her and she was a devoted catholic.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Garner and Julie Johnson; son, Ronnie Adams; first husband, Royce Adams; sisters, Beulah Rupert, Margie Green; brothers, Raymond Johnson, Fr. Earl Johnson, S.J. and Julius Johnson. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 31 years John Bailes; son, Gene Adams; step-son, Derek Bailes; grandson, Cameron Adams; great-granddaughter, Chloe Adams; step great-granddaughter, Aubrey Bailes, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Cameron Adams, Derek Bailes, Buddy Boogaerts, Richard Boogaerts, Carter Crow, and Wayne Henderson.
