HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mr. Therman D. Wallace, 85, at New Hope Baptist Church in Athens, LA, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at 10:00 A.M., with Bro. Eddie Ballance, officiating. Interment will be at Old Athens Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA, from 5-7 P.M.
Mr. Wallace was born May 30, 1932, in Fyerburg, LA, to Lyman and Susie Ann Ballard Wallace. He entered into rest on Monday, April 30, 2018, in Homer, LA. Mr. Wallace serviced his country in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for Arkansas Specialties delivering oxygen and acetylene welding supplies.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shelvie Jean Darden Wallace; two brothers, L.B. Wallace and Marvin Wallace; two sons, Marvin "Teddy" Wallace and Roland Dale Wallace; and a grandson, Chris Wallace.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Wallace and wife Cathy of El Dorado, AR; two sisters, Betty May of Pascagoula, MS and Mildred Bowen of Minden, LA; a brother, Huey Wallace and wife Faye of Homer; seven grandchildren, Debra East, Jennifer George, James Wallace, Therman "T.W." Wallace, Miranda Conway, Kristy Wallace and Nathaniel Johnson; twenty great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Therman \"T.W.\" Wallace, James Wallace, Tristan George, James Robert Bower, Steve Grayson, and Cody Lee.
