Thomas A. Rascoe, Jr. (Tommy)

Funeral services for Thomas A. Rascoe, Jr. (Tommy), 84, will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in DeBerry, Texas. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jackie Nelson and Pastor Buddy Killion.

Tommy was born on September 23, 1938 to Thomas Alonzo Rascoe, Sr., (Lonnie) and Virginia Dearman Rascoe and passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at home in Waskom, Texas.

Tommy was a resident of Waskom and worked at AMF Beaird and Beaird Industries until he became disabled as a Bay Foreman. Tommy graduated high school and attended LSUS. He was married to his sweetheart, Sandra Ann Camp Rascoe for 50 years. Tommy had a passion for dirt track racing and enjoyed the friendships he met along the way.  Tommy was the kind of person everyone enjoys meeting and he loved to spoil his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra Rascoe; grandson, Gable Giddens; sisters, Libby and Shirley; and brothers, Billy, Louis, and Curtis. Left to cherish his memory is his son, Dean Rascoe; daughter, Karen Rascoe Jones; grandchildren, Whitney Burk and husband Ricky, Jessica Cox and husband Danny, and Cole Giddens; several great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck and sister, Peggy; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Tommy as pallbearers will be Stan Boyd, Tommy Lee Rascoe, Ed Rice, James Griffin, Sean Swank, Brian Brown, and Lance Ormond. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dane Loyd, P.W., James Bass, and James Martin.

Tommy will be terribly missed by his family and friends but will live on in our hearts forever.
