Shreveport, LA - A funeral service for Thomas Lavelle Sandifer, Sr. 70, will be held 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Frank Alcorn. Interment will follow at NWLA Veterans Cemetery. Thomas was born on October 7, 1944 to Lavelle Alexia "Sandy" Sandifer and Josephine Dawkins Sandifer in Shreveport, Louisiana. He passed away on May 2, 2015 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded by grandparents, Thomas and Josephine Dawkins, father, Lavelle Alexia "Sandy" Sandifer, and sister, Sandra Alcorn. He is survived by his mother, Josephine Dawkins Sandifer, stepmother, June Boggs and husband Jack, loving wife of 44 years, Mary Louise Sandifer, son, Thomas L. Sandifer, Jr., and wife Elizabeth, daughter, Tiffany L. Sandifer, grandchildren, Noah T. Sandifer, aunt, Liz Stangengerg, siblings, Mary L. Hilburn and husband Thomas of El Dorado, AR, Lisa G. McIntyre of Jefferson, TX, Beaux James and wife LaQuita of Princeton, TX, and John B. Sandifer and wife Katrina of Moore, OK.
