Thomas F Sheets, Sr.

Memorial services for Thomas F. Sheets, Sr. will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana with Kevin McCann officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. Saturday prior service time. Tommy was born August 29, 1941 in Greenville, Virginia and entered into rest June 28, 2021 in Athens, Louisiana. Tommy was a retired terminal operator with TCB Trucking. After retirement he drove for Minden Farm and Garden for past 12 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynette Sheets; son, Thomas F. Sheets, Jr; mother, Ethel Marie Shiflett; father, Marvin Sheets, and sister, Kathleen Francis. He is survived by his daughters, Tanja "Tammy" Sheets Jones and husband Todd of Rowlett, Texas and Cindy McCann and husband Dennis of Minden; sister, Betty J. Ralston and husband Robert of Virginia; sister, Dianna Merritt of Sibley; brothers, Jimmy Sheets and Raymond Sheets both of Minden; grandchildren, Danielle Gordon and husband Kevin, C.J. McCann and wife Taylor, and Justin Jones, and great-grandchildren, Kylie O'Daniel and Wrenly Gordon. The family would like to express a thank you to Regional Hospice for the care given to their father. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
