Thomas Henry Tanner, Jr.

Funeral services for Thomas Henry Tanner, Jr. will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Bro. Bill Mills officiating. Interment will follow at Driskill Mountain Cemetery in Bienville, Louisiana. The family will receive friends at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday prior service time. Thomas was born April 14, 1938, in Caddo Parish and entered into rest August 8, 2021, in Minden, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Grace C. Tanner of Minden; daughter; Tenonya Tanner and Douglas Gile of Long Branch, Texas; son Philip Tanner and wife Kathy of Minden; two sons that were like his own: Brian Mathews of Arcadia and William Richardson of Townsend, Georgia; sister, Melba Scott; grandchildren, Rocky Lane McCoy, Jr., Troy Lance McCoy, Heather McCoy, Madison Tanner, and Maci Tanner; and great-grandchildren, Gavin McCoy, Kendall McCoy, Jayden Jobin, Ava Grace McCoy, Emma Triplet, Drake McCoy, and Colt McCoy; and step-grandkids, Ashton Kirk, Steven Kirk, and Grant Thorson. Pallbearers will be Philip Tanner, Brian Mathews, Rocky Lane McCoy, Jr., Gavin McCoy, Kendall Womack, David Caraway, Jr. and Mark Caraway. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hall and Louis Harvey.
