Rodessa, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Thomas Jewel "Buddy" Templeton, age 62 will be held at 12 Noon Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA with Bro. Loyce Plunkett officiating. Interment will follow at Fouke Cemetery, Fouke, AR. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, December 19th at Rose-Neath Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
Buddy was born in Shreveport, LA on September 12, 1953 to Jewel and Jane Jones Templeton and passed away on December 16, 2015 at his residence. He was a heavy equipment operator and maintenance machinist. Buddy loved a good fight, hunting, fishing, horses, dancing, getting married and getting divorced.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Jane Templeton and is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Templeton of Rodessa, LA who was there when it mattered the most; his son, Tommy Templeton of Hallsville, TX; daughter, Sandy Michele (Mo) Neighbors of Rodessa, LA; sisters, Sharon Boles-Wingo and husband, Jimmy of Rodessa, LA, Pam Sanchez and special friend, John Bass of Rodessa, LA and Julia Sanders and husband, Ray of Doddridge, AR; brother, Van Templeton of Avinger, TX. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephen Neighbors and wife, Ashley of Ruston, LA, Brad Neighbors of Shreveport, LA, Taylor Templeton and T.J. Templeton both of Haughton, LA, Autumn Templeton of Hallsville, LA, Brianna Neighbors and Caylan Neighbors both of Rodessa, LA, Summer Templeton and Tanner Templeton both of Hallsville, LA; great grandchildren, Teagan Templeton and Makynli Templeton both of Haughton, LA and one on the way, Jessa Ann Neighbors; special cousins, Kenny, Cathy and Becky Templeton; special friends, Claude Jackson and wife, Janice, Terry and Sherry Stevens and "Baby Boy" Briggs Tyson; his dancin partners, Paula Parrish and husband, Luke and Tina Rodgers and husband, Yank and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honoring Buddy as pallbearers will be Claude Jackson, Kenny Wayne Templeton, Terry Stevens, Andy Worley, Billy Ash, Ricky Harding, Sammy Harding, and Mark Davis.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to W/K Hospice especially his special angels-nurses, Lucy, Tangela, Brenda, Tristy and aide, Cynthia and Chaplain Casey for the love and compassion shown to their loved one.
