Thomas Dewey Wiltheis passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday March 1, 2025. He was 71. He was born in Minden, Louisiana on January 17, 1954, and lived in Minden Louisiana his entire life. Dewey was proceeded in death by his father George Porter Wiltheis, his mother Darthie Edna Lowe Wiltheis, his brother-In-Law Joseph Walker Higgenbotham II, and his son-In-Law James Gregory Loftin.

Dewey is survived by two sons, Thomas Porter Wiltheis and fiancé Tyler Pond of Shreveport, Louisiana, Dulane Edward Wiltheis and wife Callie of Minden, Louisiana, one daughter, Stephanie Elaine Loftin, of Dubberly, Louisiana, his ex wife, good friend, and mother to all three of his children, Sharon Diane Wiltheis, one grandson, Declan Elon Wiltheis, one granddaughter, Jamee Dianna Loftin, one brother George Dulane Wiltheis of Minden, Louisiana, one sister, Debra “Debbie” Kaye Wiltheis Higgenbotham of Mabelvale Arkansas, one nephew Joseph Walker Higgenbotham III and wife Mellissa of Mabelvale Arkansas and two great nephews, Joseph Walker Higgenbotham IIII and Daniel Higgenbotham of Mabelvale Arkansas. Dewey is also survived by many good friends and acquaintances that he treated like family. He is also survived by many cousins.

Dewey was kind to everyone he met. He never met a stranger. He helped so many out. He never complained. Physically his heart was weak but his compassionateness was strong. He was proud of his two sons, his daughter-in-law and his daughter who made something good out of their lives. His grandchildren were his biggest joy. He was so proud of both of them. He loved taking his baby grandson, Declan, uptown so that Declan could flirt with the girls and get free food for him and his papaw. He loved to give his granddaughter Jamee good advice and was willing to set anybody straight that messed with her. He always gave her amazing pep-talks. He was an amazing “papaw to both of them and a kind person to all. Thomas Dewey Wiltheis was dearly loved and will be forever missed.

Services are set for Saturday, March 15 from 11 am to 1 pm at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden Louisiana for those who would like to pay their respects to this loving father, papaw, brother, son, and friend.
