Todd Michael Nissen

Funeral services for Todd Michael Nissen will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at River Park Church, 3232 E 70th St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Pastor Trey McGuire and Pastor Marcus Briggs.

Todd went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 17, 2022 after a lifelong battle with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis. Todd was born in Bossier City, Louisiana on August 6, 1989 to Jay Nissen and Cheryl Smith Anderson.

Todd was a devoted husband and father who loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed traveling and taking road trips, spending time with friends and family, playing the guitar, driving fast, watching the Atlanta Braves and LSU football and listening to rock music.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cindy Nissen along with their children, Tinley and Beckham. He also leaves behind his father, Jay Nissen and wife, Sheila; mother, Cheryl Anderson and husband, Robert; step-brothers, Doug Frazier and wife, Kristina and Chris Anderson and wife, Megan; step-sisters Heather Presley and husband, Robert and Kelly Anderson; mother-in-law, Kimiko Warren; brother-in-law, Chris Warren and wife, Pam; sisters-in-law, Victoria Breyman and husband, Cory; Natale Fanning and husband, George and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Chad Nissen and father-in-law, Bill Warren. He also left countless extended family members, friends and coworkers with many memories.

Honoring Todd as pallbearers will be Chris Warren, Craig Roberson, Chris Martin, Colton Pearson, Grady Davis and Jedd Rogers. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Doug Frazier and Chris Anderson.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Christus Hospice, Christus Highland Interventional Radiology, MD Anderson and Willis-Knighton North Cancer Center for their excellent care and friendship over the years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made at Barksdale Federal Credit Union to benefit Todd’s children. The account is under “Cynthia Nissen - Todd Nissen kids donation account”.
