A “Celebration of Life” Graveside Service for Tommie Faye “Marie” Fredieu, 86, will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 220 Hamill St. in Oil City, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the rosary will be Deacon Jeff Chapman. The graveside service will be officiated by Father James Moran.

Marie was born on July 24, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Thomas Joseph Beebe and Inez Harris Beebe and passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Chateaus at Montclair of congestive heart failure and dementia.

Marie was a resident of Shreveport and a homemaker. She loved cooking, gardening, and playing cards with family and friends. After 17 years, she went to work as a Special Education Teacher at the Northwest State School in Bossier City, Louisiana from where she retired.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Inez Beebe; husband, Charles E. Fredieu; and sister, Norma Espinor. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wendell Fredieu, Priscilla Fredieu Brown and husband, William, Charlotte Miller and husband, Kenny, Andrew Fredieu, and Jerry Q. Fredieu and spouse, Robert Gerhart, Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer DeSpain, Amy Strange and husband, Jason, Stephanie Mason, Christopher Owen and wife, Leah, Matthew Owen, Charles Fredieu, Captain Katherine Fredieu, and Jacob Fredieu and wife, Noah; great-grandchildren, Grace Haskins, Casey Leone, Cameron Slack, Eli Leone, Emma Strange, Walker Fredieu, Waylon Fredieu, and Wyatt Fredieu.

Honoring Marie as pallbearers will be Eli Leone, Chris Owen, Charles Fredieu, Jason Strange, Cameron Slack, and Jacob Fredieu. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Clements Church, 819 North Pine St., Vivian, Louisiana 71082.
