Mr. Tommy Curtis, 76, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on February 8, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1947, in Sherman, Texas to Billy Eugene and Georgia Honeycutt Curtis.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive in Shreveport. Funeral services honoring the life of Tommy will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville. Honorary Ladies will be Gemme and Phoung Bo.
Mr. Curtis graduated from Fair Park High School. He spent 4 years in ROTC and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he spent 3 tours in Vietnam. On December 5, 1971, he welcomed his pride and joy, his daughter Doci. Tommy served as a Refrigeration AC and Heat Repairman until he retired from the Greenbriar Hotel and Resort. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, and watching old westerns. He was a very loving and caring man who loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was super proud of his daughter and grandsons. Even though he was sick, he always had a smile on his face and tried to make everyone laugh.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Georgia Curtis. Left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Doa Bo Tran and spouse Tom of Tracy, CA; sister, Kathy Reach and spouse Craig of Bossier, LA; brother, Billy Curtis and spouse Susan of Stonewall, LA; grandsons, Johnny and Gary Tran of Tracy, CA; nephews and nieces, CJ Maxwell and fiancée’ Kim Garza of Shreveport, LA, Jeremy Curtis of Stonewall, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with sisters-in-law, Gemme and Phoung Bo.
