Tommy Melton Moore

HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Tommy Milton Moore, 80, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Brian Thurman officiating. The family received friends at the chapel from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment was at Arlington Cemetery, Homer, Louisiana. Mr. Moore was born in Ouachita Parish to Floyd King Moore and Louise Caraway Moore. He entered into rest on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Mr. Moore served his country for many years as a submariner, retiring from the United States Navy. He loved to fish and was an avid squirrel hunter. He spent many hours mowing and doing other good deeds for people in his community. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; his three sisters, Christine Crowson, Mary Dezendorf, and Ardie Wright; and three brothers, Benjamin Moore, James Moore, and Royce Moore. He is survived by one brother, Waymond Moore, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
