HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Tony Ray Hicks, Jr., age 40, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Steve Beard, officiated. Interment followed at Arlington Cemetery in Homer, LA. The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Tony was born September 18, 1981, in Minden, LA, to LaDonna K. Cole and Tony R. Hicks, Sr. He entered into rest on Monday, November 1, 2021, in Haynesville, LA. Tony had a heart of gold, always looking out for others. He never met a stranger, only friends he had not met before. Tony was a "Momma's Boy" without a doubt. He was a devoted son, brother, father, and uncle. He was a hard worker and could do anything he put his hand on from paint and body work to operating a crane. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends Tony was preceded in death by his father; brother, Jimmy Ray Hicks; sister Donna Lynn Hicks; paternal grandparents, Benny Lee Hicks and Elsie Riley Hicks; maternal grandmother, Helen Jo Bogues Richardson; and maternal grandfather, John Cole. He is survived by his mother; two sons, Levi Cole Hicks of Arcadia, LA, and Ashton Joe Hicks of Irving, TX; three sisters, Jessica Barnette and husband Paul of Homer, LA, Ashley Willis and husband Marcus of Homer, LA, and Donna Risher and husband Chris of Haughton, LA; a niece, Landrie Risher; three nephews, Christian Hicks, Grayson Risher, and Jase Barnette; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were James Bryon Ruple, Lavelle Hicks, Michael Lorenz, Will Hutchinson, Shane Hutchinson, Tommie Hutchinson and Zachary Hicks.
