Travis Rhea Neal

Shreveport, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Travis Rhea Neal,79, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 2019, at Rose-Neath Marshall Shreveport, LA with Pastor C. L. Bourn officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Tuesday May 21, 2019, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Travis was born on November 23, 1939 in Shreveport, LA to Charles Evan Neal and Willie Maxine Kirkland Neal and entered into rest on May 16, 2019. Travis served in the United States Marine Corps, retired from General Motors after 20 years, and served as the smiling, friendly door greeter at Bass Pro Shops for 13 years. He never met a stranger and would talk to you as long as you had a word to say. The "Gentle Giant" took great pride in his yardwork and was a diehard LSU Tigers sports fan. He was a loving husband, father, granddaddy, great granddaddy and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers William Benton Neal, Charles Wayne Neal, and Morris Watkins Neal. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Ledbetter Neal; daughters, Regina Ann Grant, Tanya Renee Greene, grandchildren, Jacob Grant, Jordan Neal, Mckenna Howard, Austyn Howard, Colton Grant, Tessa Greene, Emily Grant, and great granddaughter Jacqueline Grant; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Honoring Travis as pallbearers will be Jacob Grant, Jordan Neal, Colton Grant, Emily Grant, Kevin Neal and Bobby Grant.
