Valerie Rose Winterton

Valerie Rose Winterton, 39, Valerie passed away June 25 ,2020. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Rose-Neath in Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m. until the start of service. Valerie was born July 15, 1980 to Phillip and LaDonna Young in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She graduated from Parkway High School. Valerie worked as a secretarial cashier and a bartender. She loved her country music and playing in the pool league. She had many hobbies including making wood crafts, collecting dolls and crystal animals, and she loved taking care of her pets. She was kind, caring, always willing to help, and had a positive attitude that shined through her smile. Valerie is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jasper Young and aunt, Patricia. She is survived by her soulmate of six years, Eddie Murray; parents, Phillip and LaDonna Young; brother, Stephen Young and wife, Kierstin; grandmother, Thelma Young; aunts, Pamela and Phyllis; niece, Cora; nephew, Oliver and bonus family, Shirley Towne, Mike and Richard Murray, Ethel Roberts, and Bob Barnes. The family suggests memorials be made to the Epilepsy Foundation at 8301 Professional Place Suite 200, Landover, MD 20785.
