Valla T. Lutz

BOSSIER CITY, LA - Graveside services for Valla Mae (Thibodeaux) Barber-Lutz will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Valla was born in Opelousas, La., to Theodore Eugene Thibodeaux and Alzire Marie (Guidry) Cahanin-Thibodeaux on February 4, 1939 and passed away November 8, 2014 in Bossier City, La. She moved to Big Spring, Tx. at an early age and graduated from Grand Prairie Texas High School. She received a BA from LSU-Shreveport and graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a MA in Sociology. Valla was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Berlin Barber and daughter, Erika Marie Barber. She leaves her family, Stephen Barber of Falls Church, Va., Timothy Barber of Shreveport, La., grandson, Ian and granddaughters, Courtney, Catherine, and Molly.
