Mansfield, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Valma Rambin, 89, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Living Word Church in Carmel, LA with Pastor Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Carmel, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 5:00 till 9:00 PM.
Valma was born on May 14, 1927 in DeSoto Parish, LA to Eddie and Corrine Laffitte Roblow and died on August 17, 2016 in Mansfield, LA.
At the age of 70, Valma attended Shreveport Vo-Tech and became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked many years at DeSoto Regional and Heritage Manor. Valma also drove the van while volunteering at DeSoto Retirement Center. The Carmel Queen's hobbies were fishing and gardening and she loved spending time and cutting up with her family.
Preceding Valma in death were her husband Joseph Earl Rambin, Sr; parents Eddie and Corrine Laffitte Roblow; 12 siblings, and grandchildren David Brian Rambin and Joey C. Hesser.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children David Earl Rambin and wife Martha of Timpson, Tx, Paul Rambin and wife Sue of Carmel, LA, Joe Rambin and wife Gwen of Carmel, LA, Belinda Rogers and husband Glenn of Mansfield, LA, Becky Sanders and husband Bob of Stanley, LA, Bernie Rambin of Grand Bayou, LA, Marvin Rambin and wife Jo of Martin, LA. Gerardette Hesser and husband Christian of Rambin, LA, Nancy Ruston and husband Rich of Carmel, LA, Sharon Doyal and husband Ricky of Carmel, LA, Toni Hemphill of Rambin, LA.; 32 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Those honoring the life of Valma as pallbearers will be grandsons Lance Rogers, Chance Doyal, Richard Doyal, Caleb Morgan, Patrick Rambin, and Michael Barton.
Those honoring as honorary pallbearers will Robbie Rogers, Anthony Hemphill, Jeff Rambin, Chaston Doyal, Porter Doyal, Jaxon Morgan, Dustin Weeks, and Trey Craft.
