Bossier City, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Valtia Hawthorne Day, age 82 will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA. There will be a time of visitation Monday, August 8^th from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Day was born in Red River Parish on September 12, 1933 to William Hawthorne and Ida Mae Henry Hawthorne and passed away on August 5, 2016 at her residence. She was a Real Estate Agent.

Mrs. Day is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by one son, Benjamin Borders and wife, Rhonda; three daughters, Brenda Kimball and husband, Darrell; Connie Hamilton and Erin Lowe; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great children; one brother, Dan Hawthorne and wife, Iris and sister, Margie Lowring and husband, Donald.
