Velma Grissom Walker

Funeral services for Velma G. Walker, 85 will be held Monday, October 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Minden.

Velma was born September 22, 1939, in Hodge, Louisiana and left this earthly life to heaven October 4, 2024, in Minden, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby S. walker, son, James L. Walker, brother, William Grissom, and sister, Betty Davis.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Lynn Walker (Tammy) of Haughton, Steve Walker (Renia) of Minden, daughter, Karen Ruple (Jamie) of Haynesville, sister, Shirley Crippen of Natchitoches, brother, Jerry Grissom (Brenda) of Springhill, grandchildren, Byron Ruple, David Ruple, Lynn Ruple, Casey Walker, Amanda Wallace, and Caden Walker, and eight great-grandchildren.
