LOGANSPORT, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Vera Register, 105, will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 6, 2017 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Dean Register and Reverend Nancy Wofford officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family will receive friends at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Logansport, LA on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6PM till 9PM. Vera was born on March 11, 1912 to George and Janie McCrery Sample and entered into rest on September 29, 2017. Preceding Vera in death are her husband, Joel Huson Register; her parents; grandson, James Register, Jr.; son-in-law, David Davis; two sisters, Luella Sample Fregia and Garland Sample Morrell; and one brother, James Sample. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, James "Sonny" Register and wife Jean of Logansport, LA, Bobby Register and wife Teresa of Logansport, LA; daughters, Janet Morton and husband Ronnie of Shreveport, LA, Virginia Register Davis of Gaithersburg, MD; nine grandchildren, Ernest Register, Bret Register, John Wheless, Jr., Michael Powell, Joel Davis, David Davis, Joshua Register, Robert Register, Macy Register; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Honoring the life of Vera as pallbearers will be Ernest Register, Bret Register, John Wheless, Jr., Michael Powell, Joel Davis, David Davis, Joshua Register, Robert Register and Jonathan Ware. Honorary pallbearers will be James Morrell and Myles Lilley.
