A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2:00, at Central Christian Church, 2010 Bert Kouns. A family visitation time will be held from 1:00 until 2:00. Burial will be in Fresno, CA.
Living 99 years, Vergenea went to Heaven January 20, surrounded by family.
Born May 31, 1918 in Platte City, MO, she lived in Fresno and Clovis, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Oklahoma City, OK, and Shreveport. She worked as an LPN most of her life; her best job was being a gentle, caring, loving, and wonderful mom and grandma.
Vergenea always found a way to bloom where she planted. She was an active member in Stonecroft Christian Women; Order of the Eastern Star, Sunset; Daughters of the Nile, Khafra; Daughters of the American Revolution, Pelican; and Legacy Eastern Star, Clovis, CA lifetime member.
She spent her last years at Garden Park. She was a regular winner at bingo and a member of the Garden Park Bell Ringers. Thanks to the caring staff who helped her continue an active life.
Vergenea was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George and son, Terrill Lee Langenbuch.
She is survived by her daughter Gayle Meis and husband Greg; daughter-in-law, Linda Langenbuch; grandchildren, Candace Langenbuch and great-grandson Connor Carpenter, James Langenbuch and great-grandson Luke Langenbuch, Dr. Tara Andrews and husband Daniel and great-granddaughters Emery and Scarlett, Lindsey Meis and fiancé Hunter Hailey; Nieces, Lorri Murk and Sherri McDannold.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Gary Williams for his faithful care, second floor staff at WK South, Regina, Whitney, the staff at Garden Park, Friends of Central Christian Church, Stonecroft, Eastern Star, Nile, and DAR for their love and friendship through the years.
