HOMER, LA: Funeral services were held for Mrs. Vicki Bailey Rogers, 53, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer, LA on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. R.B. Moore and Rev. Brian Thurman officiating. Interment followed at Arlington Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.
Vicki was born on February 19, 1962 in Homer, to Jimmy Bailey and Emily Hollenshead Bailey. She entered into rest on Saturday, September 19, 2015. Vicki was a 1980 graduate of Claiborne Academy and a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Vicki was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Jack Hollenshead; paternal grandparents, Robert and Mabel Bailey; an aunt, Kay Doggett; and an uncle, Beetle Bailey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Colonel Brad Rogers of Homer; her mother, Emily Hollenshead McAdams and her husband, Bob of Lisbon; her father, Jimmy Bailey, of Homer; two sons, Bradney Chase Rogers and wife, Nique of Colorado Springs, CO and Colin Bailey Rogers of Homer; one brother, James Scott Bailey of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Emily Elizabeth Rogers; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Cadet Josh Sellers, Sargent Keith Coleman, Major John Stephenson, Master Sargent Louis Ford, Lieutenant Phillip Stamper and Master Sargent Lisa Beard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38101-9908.
