Vicky Nichols Lalena

A visitation for Vicky Nichols Lalena, 63, will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr. in Shreveport. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Brother Mike Igo.

Vicky was born October 24, 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Walter B. Nichols and Patsy R. Short and passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in Shreveport.

Vicky was a resident of Coushatta. Her passion in life was her family and her fur babies whom she loved dearly.

Vicky is preceded in death by her parents, Walter B. Nichols and Patsy R. Short; and son, Nicholas D. Lalena. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Amber Lalena (Brandon); grandchildren, Hunter Brooks (Jamie), Caleb Lalena, and Nicholas Claycomb; great-grandchild, Parker Brooks; siblings, Gregg Nichols, Debra Lindsey, Wiley Lindsey, Jr., Clifton Lindsey, Jennifer Nichols; and stepmother, Irene Nichols; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring Vicky as pallbearers will be Hunter Brooks, Caleb Lalena, Gregg Nichols, Wiley Lindsey, Jr., Clifton Lindsey and David Lalena. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Claycomb, Brandon Nelson, and Brandon Van Tiem.

The family would like to express special thanks to Irene Nichols and Robbie Mode for the wonderful care, compassion and love given to Vicky.

The family suggests memorials may be made to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
