Victoria Reames LaSyone

Funeral services for Victoria Reames LaSyone “Honey,” 77, will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service will be Brother Jesse Knighton.

Victoria was born on March 19, 1946 to Clyde Reames and Lela Mitchell Reames  in Jonesboro, Louisiana and passed away at home in Keithville, Louisiana on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Victoria was a resident of Keithville. She was married on October 7, 1963 to the love of her life, Johnnie Biel LaSyone. She loved fishing and taking care of her flower garden and adding to her butterfly collection. Victoria was passionate about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a tremendous love and appreciation for music and is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a God-fearing woman that lived her life to reflect that. She never met a stranger and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Biel LaSyone; mother, Lela Campbell; brothers, Willie Lee Reames, Henry Wayne Herrington; and father, Clyde Willie Lee Reames. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Mat Allen LaSyone; daughter, Victoria Diane Ambrose and husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Jason Ambrose and wife, Jackie, Matthew LaSyone and wife, Courtney, Victoria Coke and husband, Kenneth, James Ambrose, Verniece “Niecie” Owen and husband, Brandon, Michael Peters LaSyone, Joshua Ambrose and wife, Candi, Hollie Peters LaSyone, Savanna Peters LaSyone, Haley “Boo” LaSyone; and many great-grandchildren; brothers, James R. Herrington, Jerry Reames, Sr., David Reames and Roger Reames; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Honoring Victoria as pallbearers will be lead pallbearer, Niecie Owen, Mat LaSyone, Matthew LaSyone, Patrick Ambrose, Joshua Ambrose, James Ambrose, Brandon Owen, James Herrington and Damien Coke. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Ambrose, Stefon Ambrose, Hunter LaSyone, Michael Ambrose and Jason Ambrose.
