Virgie Rascoe

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Virgie "Skeet" Rascoe, 85, will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday May 3, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Ray Holman of Bethel Assembly of God. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Skeet was born March 19, 1932 in Shreveport to William L. Ballard and Ethy Jones Lowery, and went to be with her Savior April 30, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Skeet worked for AT&T for many years on the assembly line. She was a longtime member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Skeet was preceded in death by her parents, her four brothers and her husband, Carroll D. Rascoe. She is survived by her son, Carl David Rascoe; grandchildren, Justin Rascoe and David Rascoe; brother Robert Lowery and wife, Pat; sister, Alma Lee Ballard; along with numerous extended family. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff at Heritage Manor West and Lifepath Hospice for the excellent care, love and support Skeet was given.
