Celebration of life and going home service for Virginia Davis Adams, 87, will be held
Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Social Springs Baptist Church in Ringgold, LA at 10:00 AM with son, Reverend Terrell Giddens officiating and assisted by brother, Reverend Billy Davis. Interment will follow at Social Springs Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, November 27, 2015, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA.
Virginia was born March 24, 1928 in Red River Parish, LA to Henry Warren and Melba Marie Davis and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2015 at her residence in Ringgold, LA. During her lifetime, she was a caring, kind mother, mother-in-law, me-maw, grandma, sister and friend. She was a lifelong member of Social Springs Baptist Church where she brought her children up, and also served in many capacities throughout the years. She worked many years for Dr. Fred Willis in Coushatta, LA and later in life went on to sell insurance, where she was very successful until retirement. Anyone that knew mother knew that if she was talking, they might need to sit down and stay awhile. She loved sharing God's word with everyone that she came in contact with and it was not in her to get in a hurry.
Preceding her in death were husbands, J. J. "Jake" Giddens and Bill Adams; loving parents, Henry and Marie Davis.
Left to cherish her memory are sons, Joe Giddens and wife Brenda of Coushatta, Gary Giddens and wife Trisha of Coushatta, Terrell Giddens and wife Nelda of Elkhart, Kansas, Ricky Adams and wife Page of Castor, Doug Adams and wife Paige of Castor; daughters Judy Humphries of Ringgold, Lynne Guin of Greenwood and Donna Gray of Haughton; grandchildren, Stephen Giddens and Lauren, Heath Giddens and wife Kasey, Clint Giddens and wife Sonia, Colton Giddens and wife Sonia, Meladie Stadler and husband Jeremy, Mamie Hines and husband Cody, Nora Hudson and husband Tim, Rachel Humphries and Garrett Humphries, Brandon Guin, Maghan Guidroz and husband Elliot, Melanie Culbertson and husband Jarred, John Scott Adams, Sarah Bolyer and husband Casey, Roxanne Guin, Madison Wells, Jordan Ford and husband Nick, with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by one brother, Billy Davis and wife Bettie of Ringgold, and two sisters, Dorothy Kellar of Kokomo, IN and Margrette Wood of Shreveport.
Honoring her as pallbearers are her grandsons, Stephen Giddens, Heath Giddens, Clint Giddens, Colton Giddens, Garrett Humphries and John Scott Adams. Honorary pallbearers; great grandson, Austin Giddens and grandson, Brandon Guin.
