Virginia Kathryn Keim

Virginia Kathryn McCart Keim was born in Castor, LA, on October 21, 1934, to Seborn Carson and Hattie Virginia McCart and went to be with the Lord on June 17, 2018. Virginia was married to Buddy Gene Keim, Sr., on November 21, 1953. They were the loving parents of one son and three daughters. Virginia is survived by her children, Jeanne (Kathy) Beech and husband Johnny, Patsy K. Lewis and husband Jerry, Buddy G. Keim, Jr., and wife Ruthie, Dixie K. Ely and husband Steve; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy G. Keim, Sr., parents, brothers, and sisters. She retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. Virginia was a former member of Westside Baptist Church and active member of Brookwood Baptist Church. She loved her Good News Sunday School Class and all the ladies who were her friends. Donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Emma Zemaitaitis and in honor of Charles Tanner Williamson would be greatly appreciated. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Rev. David Rice and Rev. John Harp officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Cassidy Keim, Chad Keim, Jeremy Lewis, Michael Reeves, Ryan Roberts, and Jeff Ely. Honorary pallbearers will be Carson Guin, David McCart, Marvin McCart, and Ronnie Swihart.
