SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Virginia Lee Eason, 81, will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Dr. B.J. Maddox will officiate. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath.
Virginia was born on March 18, 1934 in Shreveport to William Lee Stevens and Sara Maybelle Stevens Mosley and passed away from a lengthy illness on November 16, 2015. She worked for Merrill Lynch for many years. She loved playing cards with her friends, listening to music, and being a member of the "Red Hats Club", but most of all, she treasured her family and her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and love her.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Donald W. Eason, and brother, Rodney Stevens. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Steven G. Eason and Terry E. Eason and wife, Linda Eason; daughters, Donette Spencer and husband, Bob, and Tonya Franks and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Greg Eason, Kelli Whatley, Jason Cochran, and Melissa Renstrom; great-grandchildren, Madison and Bridget Whatley, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Virginia's life-long friend, Alice Calvert.
