Vivian P Jones

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian McLeod Patterson Jones, 85, will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel in Shreveport. Rev. Tom Howe of Christ United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Vivian was born in Bennettsville, SC, on January 28, 1930 to William Henry Patterson and Daisy Walka Clark Patterson. She passed away in Shreveport, LA on May 28, 2015. She had a love for her flowers and plants and was a member of Southern Hills Homemakers Club. Vivian was very involved in the PTA and worked closely with the Southwood Band. She was a member of United Methodist Women and really enjoyed her Joy Sunday School Class. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her beautiful memory is her husband, J.W. Jones; son, Jeffrey Jones and wife, Donna; daughter, Pamela Gudritz and husband, Rex; four grandchildren, Jennifer Maffuci and husband, Steve, Courtney Gilbert and husband, SRA Daniel Gilbert; PFC Skylar Geer and wife, Hilary; and Dr. Lisa Jones. Honoring Vivian as pallbearers will be Rex Gudritz, PFC Skylar Geer, SRA Daniel Gilbert, Leslie Michaelis, Dude Middlebrooks, Mike Byrd, Willis Dear, and James Flurry. The family suggests memorial donations may be made in honor of Vivian Jones to Christ United Methodist Church, 1204 Crabapple Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118.
