Wade Hood

Funeral services will be held for Gilbert Wade Hood, age 81, at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at St. Rest Baptist Church, 13015 LA Hwy 146, Dubach, LA. Bro. Randy Ray will officiate. The interment will follow at St. Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 5:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia. Wade was born February 24, 1934, in the Cross Roads Community in Lincoln Parish, to Gilbert "Mutt" and Ella Lee Hood. He entered into rest on Monday, April 27, 2015, Shreveport. He was a member of St. Rest Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. He is preceded in death by his parents Mutt & Ella Lee Hood. He is survived by his son Randy Hood and wife Becky and daughter Tina McCann and husband Jerry. He is also survived by his brother Shephard Hood, sister Ricki Jo Hood Jones, grandchildren Nicole Hood Jowers, Brandi Hood Kyzar and Joseph Shane Hood and by 5 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jerry McCann (son-in-law), Shane Hood (grandson), Austin Corley (great-grandson), Lavelle "Split" Singleton (cousin), Tommy Singleton (cousin) and Alan Davis (family friend). Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Canterbury (cousin), Jerry Singleton (cousin), James Earl Barmore (friend and neighbor) and Don Mullins (friend and neighbor).
