Walter "Nick" Frederick Nicholson

Shreveport, LA - A funeral service for Walter "Nick" Frederick Nicholson, 90, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend John M. Higginbotham. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015. Walter was born on August 10, 1924 to Robert and Fern Nicholson in Lynd, Minnesota. He passed away on April 9, 2015. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved farming, and selling farming equipment. He loved his church, Mangum Memorial Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Juanita, daughter, Sheri Palmer, brothers, Bob, Billy, Ken, sister, Marjorie, and grandson, Jeromy. He is survived by sons, Steve Nicholson, wife Linda, and John Nicholson, wife Marilyn, grandchildren, Christina Giglio, Craig Nicholson, Keith Nicholson, Nicole Hochenedel, and Elizabeth Palmer, 6 great grandchildren (2 more due in June), siblings, Alma Griffith, Ruth Hanrahan, and Edith Zorin.
