Walter D. Roberts, Jr. Walter D. Roberts, Jr., born December 4, 1932, passed away July 28, 2014, surrounded by his family at home. W.D. is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Mary Frances Roberts, son Walter Kem and wife Debra Roberts, granddaughters Kristin Nation (Allen Todd) and Lauren McCombie (Will), grandson Walter Kyle Roberts, great-grandchildren Riley and Raylee, his faithful companion always by his side, Princess Pixie Roberts, and a host of life long musician friends that made music and memories for 40 years at W.D.'s store, Roberts Musical Sales on main street. Services will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana officiated by Rev. Jeff Ramsey of First United Pentecostal Church. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Pallbearers will be Hoyle Chanler, Doyle Chanler, Billy Chanler, Burt Chanler, Rocky McCoy, Michael McCoy, Will McCombie, and Tommy Leon. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Moorehead, Darrell Lum, Ellis Smith, Tom Loveless, Allen Todd Nation, and Tommy Kemp.
