Wayne M Johnston, Jr.

GREENWOOD, LA - Graveside services for Mr. Wayne M. Johnston, Jr., 72, will be held Friday, May 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Forest Park Cemetery West. Rev. Dennis Sims of Ellerbe Road Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport.

Wayne was born October, 24, 1942 in Houston, TX and passed away April 27, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Breaking and riding horses were his life's greatest passions. He is a veteran of 17 Old Spanish trail rides from Logansport, LA to Houston, TX. He will be forever missed by all who knew him, especially by his two nieces, whom he cherished and adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne M. Johnston and Eunice Owens; and sister, Sandra Lee Johnston.

Left to cherish his beautiful memory is his sister, Karen Van Tronk; brother, Tom Johnston and wife, Georgia; nephews, Shea Van Tronk and Trace Van Tronk; nieces, Ashleigh Wray, Kari Harper and husband, Michael; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews.
