BOSSIER CITY, LA - A funeral service for Wiley Talmadge Baker, Jr., 85, will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave. with full military honors. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathon Beck. Visitation will be prior to service from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Wiley was born May 27, 1929 in Waycross, GA and passed away November 12, 2014. He was in the United States Air Force for 21 ½ years, and was also proud to be a Mason with the Masonic Lodge in Southern Hills. He was a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church, Bossier City, LA.
Wiley is preceded by parents, Wiley Talmadge Baker, Sr. and Sarah Alilia Moore Baker; sisters, Minnie Holder, Betty Brooks; step-mother, Effie Pearl Baker. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 64 years, Luella Oliver Baker; his son, Douglas Edwin Baker of Normand, ID; daughter, Suzanne Churchman and husband, James of Shreveport, LA; sisters, Patricia Bunting and Jean Harton both of High Springs, FL; grandchildren, Cheri Miller, Donnie Bradshaw, David Bradshaw, Brenda Baker, Janice Baker and Brian Baker, and ten great-grandchildren.
